FFAT was started back in August 2005. FFAT is owned and operated by myself, Manny Vargas and my wife, Mailei. We are D.B.A. Freak Fest Adventure Tours. We are registered as a Tour Arranger / Promoter with the California State Attorney General's Office. (CST #: 2079488-40). Freak Fest Adventure Tours has "Client Trust Account" with WAMU of San Diego since 2005. All clients' deposits and final payments are placed in this account as required by California State Law. This money is only used for actual trip expenses (i.e. Air Tickets, Bus, Hotels, etc.). Enough with the logistics, let's talk about how this all started.
If it wasn't for the creative mind of our friend, off road racer, former pro bodyboarder and famed MX commentator, Cameron Steele, FFAT would not exist. Cabo Freak Fest was the brain child of Cameron. While he was editor at Pit Bodyboarding Magazine back in the 90's, Cam put together what is to be 'the greatest bodyboarding trip' ever! He loaded up flights to Cabo San Lucas with over 300 people, most of which were bodyboarders, and pretty much opened up the world to one of his favorite Mexico destination, Cabo San Lucas. After two more years of putting together unforgettable Cabo Freak Fest trips, Cameron left the reigns unattended to pursue other ventures. It wasn't until I stepped up to the plate and ressurected Cabo Freak Fest back in 2003. Now with five years experience and 12 individual trips under the FFAT umbrella, you're guaranteed to have the time of your life. All you have to do is get on board!
